Since 2023, the PLDP has been involved in the COST Action CHANGECODE (CA22149), which aims to study the influence of past and contemporary deliberative practices.

Since 2024, the PLDP and the University of Luxembourg are partner with the LEXIS project, which studies the conditions for implementing citizen participation.

From 2020 to 2025, the PLDP collaborated with Dudelange through an action-research agreement, which aimed to support and evaluate the implementation of three permanent participatory mechanisms.

The PLDP and the University of Luxembourg are involved in an inter-university summer school aimed at deepening reflections on the functioning of our representative democracies and on various democratic processes.

The University of Luxembourg, through the PLDP, has composed a research team to accompany the Citizens’ Council on Climate composed of a hundred members.

Members of the PLDP teach a university course on “new” democratic instruments and their role in a context of democratic malaise.

Researchers associated with PLDP have analyzed different aspects related to e-petitions concerning their functioning, their content, and their impact. Since 2025, they are involved to reflect on how to renew the Luxembourgish system.

The objectives of the Action (under the EU H2020 Framework Programme) are to gather and organize information about all deliberative democracy experiments related to constitution-like issues.

The PLDP of the University of Luxembourg, in collaboration with the ZpB and LISER, is working to develop Smartwielen, a Voting Advice Application designed to inform voters about their political positioning.

The PLDP and the University of Luxembourg supported and evaluated the citizens’ committee established by the Ministry of Spatial Planning as part of the transnational consultation Luxembourg in Transition 2050.
