Project description

Dr. Raphaël Kies, Co-founder of PLDP, will intervene in the public hearing ‘Engaging with citizens: how do we effectively make use of the results of citizens’ panels and public consultations?’ at the European Economic and Social Committee, Brussels, on 21st of April, 2023. He will share his observations about citizens’ panels and online public consultations.

The Conference on the Future of Europe brought to the forefront the importance of citizens having a say in EU policy, as well as how to facilitate their views. In the context of the EESC’s opinion on citizen’s panels an public consultation, this public hearing aims to examine these tools: What works? What doesn’t? Who is the best placed to organise such deliberation?
With other distinguished speakers representing the European institutions, Member States, social partners, civil society and research, the event promises to be enriching, thought-provoking and topical. Have your say, join the debate!

Please register through the following form by 19th of April, 10h00.
